Wedding Week 2023 - Day 6

The excitement of Wedding Week continues with some more beautiful creations, we have to share with you all! If you've missed our earlier Wedding Week posts, be sure to check them out!

Bettina Marchetto (Wisteria Dress, Juniper Dress & Calliandra dress)

Bettina's little girl will be a flower girl this summer and for this very special wedding she wanted to create a timeless and classic flower girl dress. We love that little touch of 'something blue' used in the waistband and sash!

Bettina used the Wisteria bodice and sash but modified the neckline and back using the Calliandra pattern to create this elegant dress. For the skirt she used the Juniper pattern and added a bobbinette skirt for more volume and an additional skirt as a lining. For such a special dress, you need special fabrics, all which were purchased from Farmhouse Fabrics. Bettina used a gorgeous sheer voile backing from Spain with cotton embroidered flowers, cotton sateen subtle sheen blue for the sash, bobbinette for underskirt and comfort cotton batiste for the skirt lining. Such a classic and delightful gown that will make any flower girl feel special! 

 

Kathryn Bethany (Freesia)
Kathryn went with fairytale fantasy for her second amazing creation. She sees this one for an outdoor wedding, and for a bride who loves fantasy as much as she does!
To create this masterpiece Kathryn used our Freesia dress pattern, however instead of a circle skirt she extended out the pattern pieces to the corners so that  six square skirts were created. She then added soft organza butterflies, detached armbands, and she even made this amazing fairy crown to match! What a specular design full of whimsy and grace!
Tamara Hopkins (Cassia Dress + Dandelion Dress)
Tamara was inspired by traditional graceful flower girl dresses for her creations and certainly achieved this with a simple yet elegant white satin dress with a statement bow and lace accent, as well as a beautiful pink dress with pearl tulle and a lace bodice.
To create these lovely dresses, Tamara used Cassia dress with gardenia bow for the white dress and dandelion for the pink dress with fabrics purchased from spotlight. Such beautiful and refined dresses for the more traditional bride!  
Angel Espaldon (Daisy Dress & Powderpuff Skirt)
Angel was also inspired by the more traditional, white flower girl dresses and this particular beauty may even steal the show! 
Angel used our Daisy dress pattern with Powderpuff underskirt to create this elegant style. Charmeuse satin was used for the bodice and the skirt was created with two layers of tulle for extra pouf. A simply stunning and sophisticated dress!

Melanie Trunzo (Pattern used: Myrtle)

Melanie was inspired to create a beautiful flower girl dress using a colour that was out of the ordinary for a wedding party and we are so smitten with this jewel toned purple she used!

This elegant Myrtle dress was sewn using a matching glitter tulle over some purple cotton poplin, both purchased from Spotlight Australia.
We just love this beautiful, fluttery flower girl dress by Emily Irby! The combination of trims and tulle really lends to the whimsical feel of this gown! Emily combined the flutter sleeves from Buttercup with the Ivy bodice and skirt, and then traced the Banksia neckline onto the front. Her fabrics and trims are from Tulletastic and JoAnn.
