Peony Patterns Costume Party 2023 is HERE! I'm Nat (from AusChick Sews blog) and I’ll be your host this week. Every year we ask our talented pool of pattern testers to create a costume using a combination of any of the sewing patterns in our collection, and they never disappoint! Welcome to day 5 of wedding week, where the inspiration continues! Sarah Guidry Riche (Patterns used: Dahlia + Dandelion) While scrolling Pinterest, Sarah stumbled upon the most adorable flower girl dress with a lace overlay bodice and tulle skirt! It looked simple enough and although she didn't have much experience with "fancy fabrics", she decided to give it a whirl and look how incredible it came out! Sarah used our beautiful Dahlia bodice, slightly modified to be sleeveless and a dandelion vintage length skirt with three tulle top layers. We are now halfway through Wedding Week and today we continue to wow you with our Day 4 looks!Sara Jean (Pattern used: Banksia) Sara Jean used our Banksia pattern and embroidered lace netting for her vision of a delicate flowy dress that would pair well with a whimsical outdoor setting. Sara Jean added 2 inches to the overlay skirt to highlight the beautiful lace and lined it with lilac cotton batiste. The bodice also features some lace edging which completes this memorable look!
